Hello, I recently upgraded to iOS 16 and since doing so my dictation has stopped working properly. It was working at first but it has stopped. I have tried disabling/re-enabling dictation and "hey siri" and other related settings, as I read this on the internet. I would disable, perform a restart, and re-enable.
We've seen this same issue recently with a iPhone 6. The microphones would work fine in voice memos and other apps, however on a phone call the microphones ceased to work. Our solution was as follows. - Remove board. - Remove the shield on the back of the board at the top, the one that just peels off.
To do this, open Settings > General > External Microphone and make sure that it is enabled. Then go back into Settings and select Audio/Video Recording Mode and choose either “Auto” or “Always On”. Finally, if needed, adjust the input level for your external microphone in the Input Level section.

Microphone not working on other apps I got a new iPhone 11 Pro a few weeks ago and it was doing just fine for two weeks until I noticed my microphone having this weird messed up noise whenever I record something on apps.
