For some people it's different though I think it's related to using a AMD GPU. You can also try adding the origin launcher as the game and launching need for speed from there. Then you can rename the shortcut to need for speed. In the end it's because you are forced to use the origin launcher to play the game. #1.
Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005. So, I'm talking about the original Most Wanted here. I have a non-steam copy. I have several non-steam NFS games and have gotten the SC working just fine.
