No they have no connection other than easter eggs and small references here and there, there is no time line connection either as each game is set in its own place in time. Do you think far cry 6 will get a spin off like 3, 4 and 5. I noticed that the last three far cry games all had a smaller spin off title released a few years later that used the same map and engine (blood dragon,primal and new dawn). All of these spin offs had more unique and out there premises compared to the mainline titles.

A gun can be largely visible but unobtrusive. Far Cry 6 looks pretty fine to my eye, but some games have massive gun models which take up too much screen-space regardless of FoV. FC6 looks far from the actually bad offenders. At least in Far Cry's case it's some distance from the face partly away from the corner of the screen.
